Meet Jesse Smith
Your New Recruiting Partner
I began my career fundraising for charities in Washington D.C. after earning my bachelor’s degree in accounting. While accounting itself ultimately was not the right path for me, I was fortunate to realize that what truly motivated me was being in the position to help, and my accounting background gave me a strong technical foundation to do that within the recruiting industry.

I was fortunate to begin my recruiting career with Parker + Lynch, a white-glove executive search firm where I learned the importance of professionalism, communication, urgency, and long-term relationship building. Working throughout the DMV market, I naturally gravitated toward government contractors and non-profit organizations, which proved to be an ideal fit for my background and skill set at the time.

Over the past decade, I have successfully recruited accounting and finance professionals at nearly every level, from Staff Accountants and Financial Analysts to Controllers, Directors of Finance, technical accounting leaders, and Tax & Audit Partners. Along the way, I have partnered with organizations across a broad range of industries, including government contracting, financial services, law firms, architecture & engineering, construction, healthcare, technology, SaaS, manufacturing, mining, marketing, non-profits, and private equity-backed portfolio companies.

One of the most rewarding parts of this career has been helping people and businesses across the country build successful long-term partnerships. Being part of a process that ultimately gives people more freedom in their lives is what makes this work meaningful to me. Whether it is helping a hiring manager reclaim time to focus on growing their business, leading their team, or spending more time with family, or helping a candidate secure a higher salary, a more exciting opportunity, or a better quality of life. Knowing that I played a role in creating that outcome is incredibly fulfilling. As technology has evolved, recruiting has become increasingly relationship-driven rather than location-driven, allowing us to successfully connect organizations and professionals remotely across state lines with the same level of trust and communication traditionally built face-to-face.

What I have learned throughout my career is that every company, every candidate, and every situation is different. We do not focus on rigid assumptions or past circumstances. We focus on understanding people, communicating honestly, and identifying the right long-term fit for everyone involved.

If you are willing to approach the process with authenticity and partnership, we are confident we can help you find the people you have been looking for.
